		<description><![CDATA[As far as I understand it, English Heritage were due to visit the site yesterday afternoon - Monday 9th, so hopefully they will come to a quick decision and cease the road construction immediately - as soon as I hear more I&#039;ll post an update. Tim]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[The other thing to make clear is that what they have discovered is a 60metre length of something much bigger! The 60m length is just the section under the road excavations. Surely the road should be stopped immediately, and a full archaeoligical investigation undertaken?]]></description>

Experts I spoke to on site today said they had known about it &quot;for weeks&quot;. Excavations only started a month or so ago so it was not known about before that. The battle for/against the merits of the road itself have been going on since the early 90s. The govt. said there was no economic case for it and UDP inspectors advised a route much further away from Dinedor Hill.]]></description>
